Beth Fletcher Walden - Affiliate

Beth Fletcher Walden is a Senior Fellow at New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service, an affiliate at Alder Associates, the President of Fletcher Consulting and a management consultant with over twenty-five years of experience.

Beth provides a range of organization development services with a focus on assisting mission-driven organizations as they move to effect change and manage important organizational life transitions.  With continuing attention on the “whole system,” Beth works with executive teams, governing bodies, and staff at all levels as they work to operationalize new directions. 

Beth’s work includes the design, facilitation and development of integrated strategic plans and the development of organizational structures that streamline and organize resources to sustain future effectiveness.  Beth’s approach is collaborative and generative.

As Vice President for Strategic Planning and Leadership Development at Trinity Wall Street, beth  led the development of a ten-year strategic plan and directed the design and implementation of a capital strategy and asset allocation system.  At The Hay Group, Beth founded the international consulting firm’s first Not-For-Profit Consulting Practice and later founded HayAlliances, developed to assist organizations in times of change and transition.

Beth has worked internationally, in Europe and Africa, and has guided the process of transformative change at UNICEF, New York University’s Tisch Steinhardt School, The Children’s Defense Fund, the Grant Managers Network, the City of New York, Planned Parenthood Federation and Communities in Schools, the National Academy Foundation and Public Interest Projects.

Beth holds a Master of Science Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature.
