John Dyer has 27 years of Process Improvement experience with General Electric and Ingersoll-Rand (Dresser-Rand, Bobcat, Club Car, Schlage). At GE John spent two years collecting best practices in Process Excellence. He studied with Dr. Edwards Deming and Brian Joiner (author of the Team Handbook) and attended the original Six Sigma training provided at the Motorola University. John worked on rolling out best practices in Facilitation, Problem Solving, and Process Leadership.
At Ingersoll-Rand, John brought similar best practices to all of the Security and Safety division. He led the internal Corporate Consulting team of 18 Master Black Belts, PhDs, and Lean experts and implemented Lean and Six Sigma principles throughout the company. Worldwide engagements saved the company over a quarter of a billion dollars.
As the President of John Dyer & Associates, Inc. – Process Innovation, John has helped several companies change the way they do business and dramatically improve their results by implementing team-based organizations, Lean Principles, and Six Sigma tools. Results delivered include a transformation of workplace commitment and engagement as well as step improvements in performance and profitability.
John has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a M.S. in Business Management (International MBA) from Purdue University and the University of Rouen, France.
