Mike was senior vice president of Ingersoll-Rand and member of the enterprise leadership team reporting to the chairman and CEO from 2001 to 2003. He served as chief technology officer and president of the global business services sector. He provided strategic leadership for information technology, electronic commerce, advanced engineering, and business services worldwide. IR is a $10 billion diversified multinational manufacturer. IR products include Bobcat compact equipment, Club Car golf and utility vehicles, Dresser-Rand compressors and turbines, Hussmann refrigeration, PowerWorks microturbines, Schlage security solutions, Thermo-King transport temperature control, and Ingersoll-Rand industrial and construction equipment.
Before joining IR, Mike was part of the senior executive team at Owens Corning reporting to the chairman and CEO. He served as president and chief executive officer of Integrex, a new subsidiary launched to develop technology-based services for business, professional and consumer markets. As vice president and chief information officer for Owens Corning, he was instrumental in conceiving and leading business design and information technology initiatives to integrate the global operations of the company. Additionally, he guided worldwide supply-chain planning, logistics and customer operations. OC is a diversified manufacturing company with operations in 30 countries providing Owens Corning high performance building products, Advantex composite material systems, and System Thinking solutions.
During his career, Mike was vice president of corporate information systems at Honeywell, a global provider of advanced control systems and services for homes and buildings, industrial automation, commercial aviation, and the aerospace industry; vice president of information services for Time Warner Cable, a subsidiary of world’s largest media and entertainment company, operating the most advanced cable television networks in major markets throughout the US; and served in numerous technology management roles at American Electric Power, an integrated energy company engaged in power systems research, engineering and construction, energy management, telecommunications, nuclear and coal-fired electricity generation, high-capacity transmission, retail distribution, wholesale energy marketing and trading.
Mike is a graduate of the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Fisher College of Business, a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Systems Professional, member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and has served as director on the boards of Integrex, Owens Corning Korea and Tavant Technologies. He is married with four children and currently resides at Lake Norman in North Carolina.
